A Season of Giving
During the month of December the students, faculty and staff worked together to support a number of local organizations for the holiday season. As part of this ‘giving initiative’ the traditional collection from the Carol Service of $940.86 together with $500.00 (in lieu of Christmas cards) was donated to The United Way. Thanks to all who donated towards this worthy cause.

Please join us in the Artsplex for this fun-filled musical featuring a broad spectrum of our HSC community. Staff, alumni and parents have been working for months on the show, and it truly is a celebration of talent!
Originally opening on Broadway in the Alvin Theatre in 1934, Anything Goes was a hit of its time and has been as successful over the years through numerous stage, television, and movie revivals. The story begins in a Manhattan bar and then plays out aboard an ocean liner bound for England.
In the words of Director, Graham Clements, “Musical theatre is always a great challenge for any group, finding the right musical is even greater. Anything Goes has all the elements that will entice a cast to work hard and yet have fun during the rehearsal process.” Below are those alumni and parents of alumni that have come back to HSC to make this performance the fun-filled musical that it is known to be:

Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards
Three alumni, Nicole Poot ’08, Lauren Bursey ’09, and Caroline Gregg ’07, were recipients of the Gold Award of Achievement by His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh, at The Fairmont Royal York Canadian Room on Monday, July 5, 2010. Nicole Poot is presently attending McMaster University, Lauren Bursey in her second year at Trinity College University of Toronto studying history and ethics, and Caroline Gregg is in her final year of Bio-sciences and has applied to Veterinary Medicine at the University of Guelph.
