Chair, Board of Trustees - Mr. D. Simpson
David Simpson is an Investment Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He is a graduate of The University of Toronto with a degree in both economics and urban studies. David invests monies for individuals, corporations and charitable foundations.
David was a student of Hillfield Strathallan College from kindergarten to Grade 13 except for his Grade 10 year which he spent away at boarding school. He is the parent of recent graduate Ben Simpson ’08, and husband
of Gwynneth.
David strongly believes in giving back to the community and his volunteer activities include: An active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Hamilton. Member for eight years of the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation Board where he has served in various capacities and is currently Treasurer and Chair of the Cardiac, Vascular and Stroke Fundraising Council. David has also served for the past seven years on the HSC Alumni Executive. |

Mr. J. Dunton
John Dunton has two children who are alumni of HSC. His wife, Beth and younger sister, Susan are also HSC alumni. John is the President & CEO of Erie Mutual Fire Insurance Company - a prosperous property & casualty insurance company that has served the people of Haldimand county and the Niagara region since 1871. John is also a founding partner of Leap Learning Technologies Inc. - an e-learning content development company that creates rich content for clients in the e-Health and financial services industries.
John is a graduate of McMaster University - B.A (Political Science), and has furthered his professional development at Queen's University and The Niagara Institute.

Mr. R. McMurrich '68
Bob, a Hamilton native, and his wife Graeme, (HSC ’69), are the parents of three grown children. He spent a total of 6 years at HSC, including 1967-68, when he served as Head Prefect. Bob went on to York University, and after graduation founded his own management accounting practice, of which he has been President since 1973. In 1997 Bob joined Western Spring and Wire Ltd. as its Vice-President and Controller.
Bob has been active in the educational arena. In the seventies he served a number of years as President of the HSC Alumni Association during which time he also sat on the Board of Governors of the College. In the eighties Bob served eight years as a Trustee for the Board of Education for the City of Hamilton, during which time he chaired several of its major committees, including two terms as Vice Chairman of the Board itself.
In the larger Hamilton community, Bob has headed the Hamilton Recreation Department Minor Hockey Program at Coronation Arena and served on the City’s Recreation Committee. He is a long-standing member, and has sat on numerous committees, of Central Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, where he is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Bob worked many years for the Canadian Cancer Society, culminating with a three-year term as Chairman of the fund raising campaign for its Hamilton Unit. He is a past Director of the Kiwanis Club of Hamilton (Westdale). Provincially, Bob was an active member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario during the Bill Davis era, where he served several years as a member of the Party’s Policy Committee. |

Mr. M. D. Hunter '88
Mark graduated from HSC in 1988 and went on to received his Chartered Accountants designation. In 1999 Mark joined the firm Brownlow Partners, where he is now a partner. Mark’s practice focuses on tax planning and compliance for the corporate clients of the firm. He also provides council to clients on estate and succession planning. Brownlow Partners is a 4-partner, 20-person firm, which focuses on medium-sized private companies in the Golden Horseshoe area.
Mark is the past president of the Hamilton and District CA Association, and sits on the Cardiac Vascular Stroke Fundraising Council at the Hamilton General Hospital.
He lives in Ancaster with his wife Patsi '87 and their 5 children.
Mark also serves on the Board of Governors as Chair of the Finance Committee, and a member of the Executive, Audit and Transformation HSC Steering Committees. |
