HSC-bay Guidelines for Happy Bidding!

The following points are general guidelines to help make your bidding experience a happy one!  Please see Terms and Conditions for a detailed description of the rules governing the HSC online auction.  Hillfield Strathallan College has made every effort to accurately identify and describe items to be auctioned.  

• Bidders should take the opportunity to examine the items before bidding.
• Values listed are done so in good faith, based on information given to us by the donor, or by best estimate or experience of similar items. Caveat Emptor – buyer beware!
• Sale is complete when the bids are officially closed. Bids may not be retracted after the sale is complete. In order to secure your winning bid, your payment must be received by HSC through PayPal within 48-hours of the bid closing.
• ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no exchange, credits, or refunds.
• All items not covered by a manufacturer’s warranty are sold as is.
• Unless otherwise stated, items do not include taxes or gratuities, and dinners may not include wine or other alcoholic beverages.
• Unless otherwise stated, the dates of travel, vacation, dining and entertainment items are subject to mutual availability and agreement by the donors and the purchasers. The purchasers should contact the donor as soon as possible after the auction to make necessary arrangements and be fully informed as to details and any restrictions of the gift.
• Certain restrictions may accompany items that have been donated and these will be clearly indicated in the description of the item or on the certificate. Please read carefully.
• All auction items will be available for pick up at Hillfield Strathallan College on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26, 2010 and Monday, November 29, 2010. You will be notified of times and location if you are a successful bidder.

• Please remember that this is a FUNDRAISING event for our College. All proceeds go directly to benefit the learning environment of our students aged 2 ½ years to 18 years. Please be generous with your bids!
