HSC Amongst BASEF’s Best - March 23, 2013
Over 400 of the areas best and brightest young scientists filled the halls at HSC from Wednesday, March 20 to Saturday, March 23, 2013 for the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF).
The annual event awards cash, prizes and scholarships worth more than $150,000.00 to the participants who range in age from Grades 7 to 12.
Grade 8 student Haydn Wain-Lowe was ranked as one of the top 16 students at the fair. He will now represent HSC at the Canada Wide Science Fair that will take place in Lethbridge, Alberta from May 11-18, 2013.
HSC was awarded the trophy for the Top Elementary School and our students were awarded 21 merit awards.

HSC Student-Athlete Signs to Join Bryant University Soccer Program
Surrounded by HSC coaches and his parents, Grade 12 student-athlete Curtis Orth signed a Letter of Intent on February 12, 2013 to play soccer at Bryant University (Division I) in Smithfield, Rhode Island this fall.
“HSC wishes Curtis all the best at Bryant University,” said HSC Athletic Director Paul Masotti. “Our mission at HSC is to help our student-athletes accomplish their athletic and academic pursuits and we couldn’t be more excited for him.”
