The game was part of the annual Cops & Cats program in support of local charities.
The Cops & Cats team was comprised of Hamilton Police Service members: Barry Mungar, Coach, Dave Wright and Jon Obrovac. The Ti-cats were represented by: Defensive Back, Alan Zenitas (#21), Defensive Back, Lawrence Gordon (#2), Defensive Back, Chris Thompson (#10), Defensive Back, Geoff Tisdale (#4), Lineback, Otis Flyod (#11), Linebacker, MarKeith Knowlton (#3), Linebacker, Ray Marivz (#44), Safety, Dylan Barker (#23) and Defensive Lineman, Darrell Adams (#14). The big winners are McMaster Children’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Pediatrics. Last year the donations from HSC were over $3,000 and in total the event raised $25,000.
The school that raises the most money for its game wins the much coveted “Golden Ball” which will be presented after the Cops and Cats finish their 12 game series. Last year HSC were the winners of the “Golden Ball”.
