Doug Moore Tree Dedication

At Homecoming on Saturday, October 2, 2010, staff, students and parents took a moment to dedicate a memorial tree in honour of our friend and HSC faculty member, Mr. Doug Moore (1948-2010).

The dedication took place at 1:30 p.m. in the naturalized area, west of the Montessori Building (Upper Field).

If you are interested, please take the time one day to walk through the naturalized habitat. It came along very well this summer, with many of the native grasses growing well, and some of the wildflowers blooming even in their first year. By late August it was quite colourful. It is more subdued now, with autumn upon us, but it still offers biodiversity and the odd colourful surprise.
