Youth Exchange Host Family Needed for 2010-2011 School Year

The Rotary Club of Hamilton is actively involved with Rotary International’s Youth Exchange Program.  Each year the Club, with close connections to HSC,  hosts a student from another country for a one-year period.   Similarly the Club selects a student from Hamilton to go on an exchange to another country.   This year Rotary is hosting  Filip,  a 17-year old from Sweden, who will attend Hillfield Strathallan College.   The Rotary Youth Exchange Committee is looking for host families for Filip, typically for a 2-3 month period.  Members of the Rotary Club of Hamilton will offer to host, but we would like to also appeal to HSC families to consider offering a place in your home for Filip as a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to experience hosting an international student.

Hillfield Strathallan College is an active supporter of Rotary’s Youth Exchange Program - each year we sponsor one student to attend the College, and over the years these students have enriched the global life of the College in many ways.   Filip will become a part of our HSC family next year, and if  you are interested in hosting or would like to learn more about what would be involved, please contact Adrienne Davidson, Director of College Advancement at HSC.
