Eat Smart Recipe Contest

Bright and early on May 11 HSC’s very own Lynn Sharpe presented her award-winning Vegetarian Chili recipe on CHCH Morning Live.
Workplace cafeteria chefs/cooks were challenged to enter their favourite recipe in the Eat Smart! Recipe Contest. Recipes were required to use vegetables or fruit, provide at least ½ cup of vegetables or fruit per serving, be prepared in a healthier way and be an original recipe of the contestant.
Lynn was joined by fellow winners Mitch Rogal, Executive Chef, Marketplace on Main, McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association, Todd McLeod, Chef, Dana Hospitality Inc. (ArcelorMittal Dofasco), and Sylvia Moser, Chef and Retail Site Manager, Atrium Café, Henderson Hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association.
The Eat Smart Workplace Program is a Provincial program that promotes the availability of healthy eating choices in workplace cafeterias. HSC is one of eight participating workplaces in Hamilton, and was the first educational institution in this Region to be so designated.
