Together We Read

The Junior School’s second One School One Book Event featuring Dear Hound by Jill Murphy was a huge success!

As part of our goal to promote the importance of families reading together, students were asked to donate gently used books to share with a local school in need. More than 550 books have been donated to the Cathy Wever School in Hamilton. The Dear Hound novels were also returned to HSC and were donated to support this school’s literacy program.

In addition, the Griffith family kindly donated the dog biscuits that were used during the trivia games and later sent to the Hamilton SPCA on behalf of this Junior School initiative.

Everyone is excited to continue reading together and can’t wait until next year’s launch, which will be the start of another reading adventure!
