Toronto Area Alumni Reunion – The Place To Be!

On Friday, April 24th, the Rosedale Golf Club in Toronto was the place to be!  Over 80 Alumni from Toronto gathered together to reconnect with schoolmates and teachers and share stories from their days at HSC.  Click here to view the photo gallery

Mrs. Patsy Kleiser ’33, Mrs. Rose Pringle ’33 and Mr. Albert Bowrun ’34 recounted stories of the Strathallan School on Robinson Street and Hillfield School on Main Street West.  They thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to step back in time as they looked at the uniforms on display from the 1930’s as well as old yearbooks and trophies.

Head Boy, Ryan Day and Head Girl, Lora Capobianco greeted the guests.  Ryan and Lora each had the opportunity to speak to the crowd and discuss their current involvement at HSC.  Ryan spoke of his connection to the City Kidz breakfast fundraiser and Lora spoke of her involvement with the CAIS Leadership Conference. 

A special thank you to both Rives Dalley Hewitt and Mary Balfour for all their assistance in helping to organize the event. Because of their efforts, many Alumni were contacted and able to reconnect with fellow HSC graduates.

Liane Ormond brought greetings from the HSC Alumni Association and encouraged each person attending to reach out to at least 3 graduates of HSC in an effort to reconnect not only with each other, but with HSC as well. 

Because of this years’ resounding success the 2010 Toronto Reunion is already in the planning stages.  Dr. Tom Matthews looks forward to even more Alumni attending with the opportunity for all to reconnect with old friends and colleagues.
