Bulk Route Service
Our Bulk Route Service, will be considered when major roadways provide the only practical routes due to inclement weather. The schedule is intended to provide a base level transportation service throughout our general catchment area in the event that weather and road conditions will allow safe and timely access along major highways and primary municipal commuter roadways. At the same time, we will need to assess the progress and ability of local municipalities to service secondary roads, side streets and rural routes in preparation for our afternoon route schedule.

With Bulk Route Service in effect, half-day noon bus service will be unavailable and after-school trips and activities will be cancelled. The afternoon route schedule will be communicated through our website, parent e-communication and our transportation taped message [ext.302] prior to noon on the given day. In these circumstances we would hope to be able to provide our ‘no late run' afternoon route service at 3:40 p.m. assuming weather and road conditions have improved. Otherwise, we will utilize the afternoon Bulk Route Service schedule provided.
The stop(s) for each Bulk Route were considered for their accessibility, centralized location, potential for parking and waiting area. We understand locations may be less convenient than our regular service. Please check the Bulk Route schedule carefully for the location and time(s) that are best for you.
Notification Process
During inclement weather conditions, we will post the appropriate notice of closure or bulk route service accordingly through the website, parent e-communication, taped message and local CHCH TV by 6:15 a.m.
The morning notification of Bulk Service will be announced as:

The afternoon route schedule will be communicated through our website, parent e-communication and our transportation taped message [ext. 302] prior to noon on the given day. The afternoon service will be reduced to a single run. Depending on the road conditions, we may look to run either Bulk Service or our ‘no late run' drop-off schedule leaving at 3:40p.m. It is imperative for all families to carefully review the notification to ensure the success of this program.
