Our experienced and diverse faculty remain relevant and maintain excellence through collaboration, self-examination of their practice, and continual growth through professional development. Most importantly, however, they are here because they are passionate about children - about helping them to develop their mind, body, and spirit.
For the Love of Learning
A lively atmosphere of exploration and discovery sets the stage for learning in the Junior School at HSC. In every subject and grade level, dedicated faculty provide exciting, hands-on, project-based opportunities for students to develop key 21st century skills:
- creative and innovative thinking and problem solving
- information and media literacy
- communication and presentation skills
- the ability to work well in teams and across cultures
- knowing how to learn and how they learn as individuals

Subjects taught in the Junior School include literacy, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, French, music, art, and physical education.
