FAQ

All requests to change or cancel your registration must be submitted in writing to camps@hsc.on.ca at least 21 days prior to the registered start date. All cancellations are subject to a $35 administrative fee, per camper, per week.

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 21 days of the registered start date.

Full payment is due at registration via credit card (No Amex).

Holidays & Missed Days: Weeks that fall on a Holiday are offered at an adjusted rate. All other weeks are standard 5-day fees; pro-rated fees are not available for days missed due to illness or vacation.

Tax Receipts: Log into your CampBrain account, click “View Details”, scroll down to “Financial”, and click “Download Printable Season Account Statement”.

We encourage cell phones to be left at home. If a camper brings a phone, it must remain in their bag and is not to be used during camp time (including lunch and extended care) unless a specific accommodation is arranged with staff.

Campers aged 11 and up can self sign-out if permission was given on the registration form. Campers under 11 must be picked up by someone on their authorized pickup list.

Yes. If a program is full, you may add your camper to the waitlist through the registration portal. Should a spot become available:

  • Our team will contact you via the primary email on your account.
  • You will have 48 hours to accept the spot and confirm payment.
  • If we do not receive a response within 48 hours, the offer will be cancelled and the next person contacted.

If a camper becomes unwell at camp, parents/guardians will be contacted and are required to pick up their child promptly. The camper’s symptoms should be improving for at least 24 hours (including being fever-free without medication) before they are permitted to return to camp. Campers experiencing vomiting/diarrhea must stay home for 48 hours after symptoms resolve.

Extended care is available from 8:00–9:00 AM and 4:00–5:00 PM at no additional cost, but registration is required to secure a spot.

Late Policy: Extended care closes promptly at 5:00 PM. Any camper not picked up by then will be brought to the camp office, and a $25 late fee will be charged per child, per half hour.

Yes! There is a lost and found bin on your left when you walk in the Senior School doors.

A “Know Before You Go” email will be sent the week prior to each week of camp. This email will include your specific drop-off location, counsellor names, and important details for the week ahead.

If you are picking up your camper early, please email camps@hsc.on.ca or call (905) 389-1367 in advance, and let your counsellor know at drop-off.
