HSC Summer Camps 2016 See Record Attendance

This year, our HSC Summer Camps boasted record attendance and amazing new programs for campers of all ages. Age and stage appropriate programming kept campers learning and laughing all summer long.
Our littlest campers explored their creativity, independence and ingenuity through our multi-subject offerings. Whether lacing up their sneakers for our Gym-mania camp or creating multimedia masterpieces in our Kindercrafts camp, our HSC toddlers had a great time experimenting and making new friends.

For those campers keen to hone their academic skills, our language, literature and mathematics camps provided an accessible approach to building essential skills. A popular choice for our budding superstars was Ashley Leggat’s Triple Threat Camp. Canadian actress, singer and dancer Ashley Leggat lead campers through an introduction to the major components of the entertainment industry. A special visit from The Next Step star Taveeta and a cumulative performance for family and friends made the experience one to remember!

There were also plenty of offerings for the future sports stars of the HSC community. NHL pro Jeremy Williams returned with his popular Pro Hockey Camp. Visits from pros and lots of ice time made for very happy HSC campers. They were able to ask lots of questions and hear about the experience of professional athletes. Zac Rinaldo from the Boston Bruins and Kevin Bieksa from the Anaheim Ducks chatted with the campers before they went onto the ice. Edmonton Oilers goaltender, Cam Talbot, and defenceman, Darnell Nurse, visited our campus and answered questions about the life of a professional hockey player.

Our athletes were also able to break in our brand new Losani Lawrie Tennis Complex with a variety of HSC Tennis Camps. Generously donated by two HSC families, the Losani and Lawrie familes, the courts provided a much-welcomed return of HSC Tennis to the campus. The College looks forward to training the tennis superstars of tomorrow for years to come.

Registration for age 5 and up is open to families beyond the HSC community—campers do not have to be current HSC students to join the fun at HSC Summer Camps! For more details on programming and pricing, please visit our website at hsc.on.ca/summer-camps. Our Director of Summer Programs, Erica Otaguro, would also be happy to answer your specific questions. Until next summer, HSC!
