ALUMNI AWARD OF DISTINCTION

CREATING BEAUTIFUL SPACES
Interior design sensation Lori Morris ’82 is always striving to reach creative heights

For more than 30 years, the Toronto-based designer and founder of Lori Morris Designs (House of LMD) has been carving out a spot for herself in the interior design industry as one of the best, a drive and work ethic that she attributes to her time at HSC.

After completing Grades 12 and 13 at HSC, Lori went on to study at York University. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts, she transitioned to the International Academy of Merchandising and Design where she completed a degree in Interior Design. Upon graduating in 1987, she incorporated and started her own company and has been wowing clients ever since.

With a keen ability to listen, observe and capitalize on the advice given to her, it’s
no wonder that LMD is such a success. The full design firm offers everything from interior design, to home renovation and designs, to full decoration. The firm works with builders, developers and architects to bring their concepts to life and even offers a concierge program for their clients as a means of helping to ensure that their clients home maintenance needs are cared for once the project is completed.

With their impressive designs in San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Dallas, New York, and Florida (just to name a few), LMD also has a branch office in Port Carling Muskoka, and is working towards opening a product line of home décor pieces as a means of appealing to a more widespread audience.

Located in Hamilton, ON, Hillfield Strathallan College is a Canadian independent, co-educational day school.
The academic program runs from Montessori Toddler and Pre-K to Grade 12.
