HSC Maker Space Camp
Instructor: Mr. Brendan Dowd '13
Age Group: 7 to 9 years

Description: At HSC’s March Break Maker Space Camp, campers will have the opportunity to work in HSC’s Launch Pad to explore several areas of STEM education (science, technology, engineering, math) including coding and robotics. They will also have the chance to design and program their own video game. Over the course of the week, campers will take on a passion project that will see them go through the creative design process in order to design, build and construct a final product.

Fee: $280.00/full day program for the week. Camp fee includes the lunch program provided by Real Food for Kids, which includes a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.  All lunches include a protein, healthy grain, fresh vegetables and fruit and are made in the nut and shellfish-free Real Food Kitchen.  
HSC March Break Camp
Age Group: 4 to 6 years
Instructors: Ms. Sarah Polimeni and Ms. Alyssa Polimeni

Description: This March Break, join HSC for some fun activities and exercise. Not only is this a  chance to be artistic and energetic, but campers will express themselves through inspired visual arts, crafts, and even fun, active games in the gym! It’s time to get creative!

Fee: $280.00/full day program for the week. Camp fee includes the lunch program provided by Real Food for Kids, which includes a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.  All lunches include a protein, healthy grain, fresh vegetables and fruit and are made in the nut and shellfish-free Real Food Kitchen.

General Information

HSC March Break programs are designed to provide a full-day, full-week program for girls and boys ages 4 to 9 (Grades JK – 4).

Fee: $280.00/full day program for the week. Camp fee includes the lunch program provided by Real Food for Kids, which includes a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.  All lunches include a protein, healthy grain, fresh vegetables and fruit and are made in the nut and shellfish-free Real Food Kitchen.  

Program Cancellations
HSC reserves the right to limit enrollment and change instructors when appropriate. The College also reserves the right to combine or cancel camps due to insufficient enrollment or due to the unavailability of instructors or facilities. We cannot guarantee additional sessions when enrollment surpasses expectations, so please register early. In addition, HSC reserves the right to cancel a camp one week before the start date. In such cases, all fees for a cancelled camp/session will be refunded.  

Refund Policy 
All requests for refunds must be made in writing. Refunds, less a $25 administrative charge per cancellation, will be issued for all camp cancellations up to two weeks before the first day of camp. Pro-rating and refunds are not available for days absent or for any other reason. Refunds are not available within the two week period prior to the first day of a camp session.  

Free Extended Service 
The HSC March Break program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  HSC is pleased to provide an Extended Service that operates from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Campers are supervised while participating in a variety of activities.
Note: The Extended Service closes at 5:00 p.m. Any child not picked up by 5:00 p.m. will be taken to the Summer Program Office, where a $25 late pick-up fee will be charged per child.

For Safety’s Sake
To ensure participants’ health and safety, please make camp staff aware of any medical conditions, medication requirements, behavioural issues or allergies. This information is valuable and will help ensure a rewarding camp experience for the child.  

Expectations for Behaviour 
We require that all young people attending the HSC March Break program demonstrate respect for each other and for their instructors and counsellors. This includes:
  • Respect for each other’s safety
  • Respect for each other’s feelings
  • Respect for the property of others and of the HSC March Break program
Any breach of this fundamental principle of respect will not be tolerated.  So that we may ensure safety, all HSC March Break program participants may not leave their group or the facility without permission of a member of our staff.  In addition, please note that individual programs may have rules specific to their activities and facilities.

How to Register
Campers must be in the correct camp for their age as of January 1, 2019.  We reserve the right to move campers to an age-appropriate camp.

Please be advised that camp availability cannot be guaranteed. Register early to avoid disappointment.

Important: Please register prior to February 15, 2019 to ensure that there are sufficient numbers for the programs to run.
