Dramatic Arts: Step into the Spotlight
From enchanting Montessori plays to captivating Senior School productions like Grease, Cabaret, The Little Mermaid Jr., and Annie Jr., your child will experience the thrill of live theatre. With stunning sets and costumes, we bring Broadway to HSC! Senior students can delve deeper with courses in developmental drama, mime, and improvisation.
Music: Find Your Rhythm
Music fills our hallways! Our youngest learners discover the joy of singing and creative movement, while our Junior Choir shares their talents with the community. Instrumental music begins in Grade 6, and our Middle and Senior School ensembles consistently earn Gold Standards at local and international festivals. From concert bands to jazz ensembles, and private lessons with top professionals, we offer a rich musical experience for every student.
Technology Education: Design the Future
HSC’s technology and design program in Senior School elevates the principles of design learned in the Early Learning Commons’ Makerspace studio. Students expand concepts of design and communicate across a variety of mediums. Our curriculum teaches the principles of engineering and architecture, while our communication strand focuses on multimedia, including 3D animation, web design, and videography. Students also have the opportunity to learn video production or join the Boar Pibroch yearbook team, gaining valuable skills in design, marketing, and business.
Visual Art: Create Your Vision
From the fundamentals of design to exploring diverse artistic styles, our visual arts program empowers students to become innovators and creative thinkers. We offer art-based experiences that connect students to the school and community, while building transferable skills for the future. Students will explore Western, Canadian, and global art forms, developing their own unique artistic voice.
