Life at HSC is full. Full of friendships. Full of creativity. Full of knowledge. Our College provides an environment where each student can develop intellectually, socially, morally and physically to grow into their most powerful selves.
We believe that a connected and caring community is bonded for life through shared experiences and an enduring commitment to HSC’s Mission, Vision and Values. Our academic and co-curricular programming nourishes the mind, body and spirit of every student and provides opportunities for community gatherings, service learning, leadership skill development, philanthropic experience and outdoor education. Through these experiences, students expand their horizons beyond the classroom and learn the joy of participating fully in life.
“In times of achievement, celebration and success, and in times of challenge, hardship and tragedy, our community rallies together and proves its ability to succeed.”
- Andy Kain
There is no shortage of opportunities within HSC. Discover your passion for theatre in one of the many major student theatrical productions we hold annually. Not interested in theatre? No problem, test your creative abilities through a multitude of other co-curricular activities.
HSC’s athletic program provides a supportive introduction to teamwork and competition at an early education level. Student-athletes develop skills of leadership, sportsmanship and resilience. As our students move to Middle and Senior School, they have the opportunity to play on many high level, varsity teams, offering a highly competitive atmosphere.
Beginning at age six, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of co-curricular programs. With over 100 + co-curricular activities available each year, students should have no problem finding an activity that fits their interests.
Calling all Maple/Tay, Cedar/More, Birch/Earn or Pine/Yre! HSC’s house system builds social bonds, connects students through common goals and a shared sense of identity. Every student in each of the four schools belongs to one of four brother/sister combinations. Throughout the school year, our students compete together for a variety of house points.
Leadership opportunities exist in all four schools at HSC. We encourage all students to initiate programs that augment the spirit of our College and allow other students opportunities to become involved.
We support our students in a holistic way with dedicated staff members to ensure our students have the resources necessary to succeed. Learn more about our on-site, dedicated Registered Nurse, Athletic Therapy program and Counselling Services.
