  • Part-Time Kitchen Staff

    We are currently recruiting kitchen staff to work school days from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Kitchen Staff Position Overview:

    Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the kitchen staff will be responsible for preparing meals, unpacking and stocking supplies, cleaning up, and other related duties as assigned.

    Previous experience in food preparation is required. Food handlers required or willing to take.

  • Project Manager, Campus Master Plan

    We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager, to support and lead our Campus Master Planning process. 
     
    HSC's Campus Master Plan is grounded in the College’s unique characteristics and assets and aligned with the four pillars of our Strategic Plan. 

    The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of the College’s Campus Master Plan. The position will act as the advocate for the College and carry us through to the completion of the different phases of the project while keeping the steering committee informed and ensuring alignment with the College’s strategic priorities: a whole college - connected and inclusive, personalized learning, purposeful and sustainable learning environments and resilience and wellbeing. 

    The Project Manager will work closely with the steering committee through the entire development process. This includes, but is not limited to, project phasing, assisting with refining/developing the project scope, schedule and overall budget, pre construction phase, all procurement activities including selection, evaluation and award of architects, consultants and contractors, through to the post construction and warranty phase.  

    The successful applicant will have a degree or diploma from an accredited institution with major studies in construction or engineering with a certificate in project management or similar, a minimum of five (5) years project coordination, and project management experience in the construction industry on large scale projects. The successful candidate should also have the ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications as well as a passion for and experience with sustainable construction or LEED certifications.

  • Supply Early Childhood Educators 

    Position Overview: 
     
    The Supply Early Childhood Educator will be available for daily and long term assignments. They will collaborate with classroom teachers and assist in delivering a program that enhances children’s cognitive, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development.

    Qualifications:
    • 2 year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma with experience in a childcare or educational setting;
    • Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators;
    • Knowledge of Ministry of Education full day early learning kindergarten program;
    • Experience in planning and implementing age appropriate programs;
    • Knowledge of related legislation and pertinent Board policies and directives such as, but not limited to Administration of Medication and/or Special Services
    • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public;
    • Strong organizational and management skills
    • Demonstrate knowledge of classroom management
    • One year of experience as an ECE in a childcare centre and Early Learning Program is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply
    • Current certificate in First Aid and CPR

  • Supply Teachers

    We are currently seeking passionate and committed teachers to join our faculty.

    The successful candidates will have previous experience teaching (pre-service practicums will be considered); possess an Ontario Teachers’ Certificate or equivalency; strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for education. They also are required to participate in the co-curricular life of the College, possess up-to-date skills in the area of technology, and embrace a model of student-centred learning.
      
    Those who have completed their preservice education program but not yet received their OCT certificate are encouraged to apply.
